Mr. SweetCFly had been ring shopping for a few weeks, and that was no secret from his future Mrs.  Little did  she know though, on Thursday the 25th, Friday the 26th, and Saturday the 27th Mr. SweetCFly was running around like a chicken with his head cut off dealing with a few different jewelers in the Towson area, calling her cousin Ben to schedule a proposal for Saturday, asking dad's permission, etc.  He was busy- and SNEAKY!!

On June 27th, my cousin Ben's band, The Killer Bees, was doing a gig at The Tower in Bel Air.  I was secretly hoping he would propose at this show because my whole entire family was going to be there as well as Mr. SweetCFly's parents, and many of our friends.  But I was 100% positive that he hadn't bought a ring yet, so I spent the day had convincing myself that he was definitely not going to propose at the show.  However... just before the show started, my cousin Ben announced to everyone that before the show could start there was a special announcement to be made... and at this point, despite the unusual presence of several family members and sneaky behavior on Mr. SweetCFly's behalf I was still CLUELESS.  I thought he was making a plug for the fundraiser we were "supposed" to be having for the scholarship foundation we've created in my cousin Matt's name.  However, much to my surprise, Mr. SweetCFly led me to the stage/dance floor, got down on one knee and pulled a microphone out of his back pocket, and asked me to marry him, presenting me with a beautiful ring.  I was absolutely SHOCKED!  Mr. SweetCFly has always had a very shy demeanor so this was definitely a feat for him, proposing in front of about 100 people- many family, friends, and even strangers.  I think the cool part is that we have millions of pictures, memories shared with family and friends from the evening (a great show!), and Mr. SweetCFly's dad even got the whole thing on video.  It was perfect.  Absolutely perfect, and a day neither one of us will ever forget.  We spent the rest of the night dancing, toasting, and celebrating with virtually everyone there.
